The Polar Express...

Last night we went to the Polar Express. After our experience with the insane ticket buying process, my expectations of the train ride were not very high. But, the girls were so excited and I was just hoping it would not be a flop. I was pleasantly surprised! The train was a double decker and we had seats on the second floor. Everyone in our car was super excited! We ate cookies, drank hot chocolate and sang Christmas carols. As we were on our way to the North Pole the train swayed back and forth. Taylor and Averi kept saying "it feels like we're going to tip over!" They were right, it felt exactly like that! But it just added to the magic of the night. I am so glad we went. It really got me in the Christmas spirit!

In Just a Few Short Days...

Our baby boy will be 21 months old. That is only 3 months away from 2 years! Dang...that went by fast. I swear he gets more adorable with each passing day. We could not imagine a life without our little man. Here are a few pics showing what he has been up to!

He is walking pretty much all the time now! It's nice when we're out not having to hold him or worry about him crawling on disgusting floors:)

Connor is so much fun to be with! I love the toddler stage he is in right now. He is becoming more independent yet he needs his mommy so much still! I'm so glad he is ours:)

Love the Holiday Season...

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and now Christmas is just around the corner. One of my favorite things is to send/receive Christmas cards. I think ours turned out cute this year. It is the first time we've had one with a family photo. Now I am off to work on my last assignment of the semester!! I will be back to blogging in the very near future:)

She Couldn't Be Old Enough...

To have lost her first tooth! For some reason it gets stuck in my head that my girl Averi is still a baby. So when we realized a couple of weeks ago that she had a loose tooth, I was slapped back into reality. She's growing up...and it's happening too fast.

I guess it was Monday night when she came into our bedroom for ANOTHER hug and a kiss and I saw that her tooth was hanging on by a thread. I told her to let Chad look at it as he can't resist things like that (I just can't bear to be the one to pull it out). She cried and carried on afraid it was going to hurt, but it didn't and she survived. She was so proud once it was out. She kept feeling around the new hole with her tongue.

What a Week...

I love this week! So many exciting things going on. Tech totally wrecked 'em yesterday! Unfortunately we did not have tickets to the game, but it was pretty exciting (and stressful) in our living room! Every time Chad yelled at the t.v. (which was A LOT) it scared Connor and he would start to cry.

Election day is Tuesday...WooHoo!! This is the ultimate! And it's been a long time coming. There is no telling how late we will be up waiting for results.

Trick or Treat...

First of all, I am sooo excited that we get to move our clocks back a whole hour tonight!! Love the "fall back" time change! And how in the world is it already November 1st?? It amazes me how fast the days and weeks fly by. I don't understand it. So yesterday was Halloween...the kids were super excited! The weather was absolutely perfect. Poor Connor, I thought he was going to have heat stroke in his dragon costume. We kept things simple last night...trick-or-treated at just a few houses with some friends. Every year I notice that more and more people go ALL out with the Halloween decorations. It's fun:) The kids had a blast running from house to house. Stacy and I could barely keep up! Once the candy bags were full and the kids dropped off (they prefer Granna and Gramps and Dondi and Poppi over us), Chad and I made our way to the Monterey/Lubbock High game. Monterey won!
