Big Boy Car Seat...

So big
Eating a cheerio (I think)
I love that smile
My baby
He can see the worldAhhh...my little man
We made the big switch from infant carrier to forward facing carseat last weekend. It had to be done for the sake of my back and arms. Con-man was HUGE - I could barely lift the toot. Now he looks so small and cute in that big carseat. I love looking back and seeing his chubby little face. He just smiles at me and laughs. I think he feels like a big boy now. He's not stuck staring at the backseat anymore (although Taylor and Averi provided him with some good entertainment). He likes being able to look out the window and know what's going on. It's funny how little things like this are so exciting!

Father/Daughter Valentine Lunch...

Daddy's girl Aren't they cute? Luke and Emma
Averi was so excited that she got to have a special lunch date with daddy at school last week. The 3's and 4's put on a show, singing a couple of sweet songs for all the dads. Chad said that Averi did awesome! She was looking at him and singing her little heart out the whole time! Ahhhhh:)

Connor is 11 Months...

Well, in a few more weeks our little man will be a year old. Unbelievable! He is turning into quite the daddy's boy. As soon as Chad walks in the door his whole face lights up, he smiles a big, tooth-ey grin, and holds out his arms to be held!

Some of Connor's favorite things:

  • Yo Gabba Gabba on Nickelodeon - when this is on everything else fades away. He focuses 100% of his attention on the TV. I have to say that a few minutes of Yo Gabba Gabba goes a LOONG way.

  • He is getting better at eating solids. He loves macaroni & cheese, spaghetti, potatoes...pretty much anything we put in his mouth:) He is not too keen on the sippy cup, however. That is a work in progress.
  • He is STILL not crawling - and shows no desire to start. Little toot:)
  • He likes to drop things and see how many times we will bend down, pick it up, and give it back to him. The other day he was holding a tube of diaper rash cream - as soon as I would pick it up and give it back, he would look at me, hold it over the edge of the couch, and let it go. He thought it was hilarious.

I didn't know that I could love a little boy the way that I love Connor. He absolutely melts my heart! I am so incredibly blessed and honored to be his mom!

Happy Love Month/Super Tuesday...

Denae took these pictures for Taylor and Averi's dance recital program, and they ended up being perfect Valentine's Day as well:)
We're so proud of our girlies! And yes, they really do love each other that much...most of the time!

Before I go...is anyone as excited as us that it's Super Tuesday??? It's nights like tonight that Chad and I live for! Non-stop election coverage and cable news - WooHoo! We're livin' large:)

A Quick Post...

Hope everyone has had a good weekend! Why do they always seem to fly by?
And because Connor "stole" my phone and killed it with baby slobber, Chad surprised me with this on Friday:

We are headed over to Luke and Angela's for the Superbowl. And then ready or not - here comes Monday:)
